Safe Harbor, teen grief group
Safe Harbor is a grief support group for teens ages 12-18 who have experienced the death of someone close to them. This non-denominational group is a place where all cultural and spiritual beliefs are valued and respected. The purpose of the group is:
Safe Harbor meets on the first and third Mondays of the month (when there are enough students to run the group) from 6:30-7:45 (following the Manitowoc Public School calendar for holidays and vacations), in the youth room at First Lutheran Church. - engage in activities designed to encourage discussion
- be a safe space to give expression to feelings
- give and receive support in the healing process from others who have experienced loss
